  2. Feel like it's a “new day – and the same old thing”?

To understand what excites you, you may need to observe and ponder your reaction to the activities, events, circumstances that are now making up your life

Life is too short to stay in boredom, do something today that excites you and renews your outlook on life. You really do have more potential to be a dramatic, thrilling, and awe-inspiring person. If you think about it, our lives are, in truth, ours to design.

Each day, we all make choices that influence the character of our experiences.

Your passions may ebb and flow and what excites you one year may not excite you the next, but when you make excitement a regular part of your existence, life becomes more fun and more fulfilling. Spend more time at our beaches, parks and trendy shopping areas. Window shopping can be a lot of fun.

Our decisions determine whether our paths are rousing or tedious, breathtaking or tiresome. We can create an exciting life by simply doing what excites us whenever the opportunity presents itself. Your passions may ebb and flow and what excites you one year may not excite you the next, but when you make excitement a regular part of your existence, life becomes more fun and more fulfilling.

  3. Sometimes our timetables do not correspond with universal timetables, and it’s common to feel that life is moving too slowly or too quickly. We spend lot’s of time planning, only to find that they fall into place when we least expect. Or, conversely, we are pushed in to situations we believe we are not prepared for and wonder how we will survive the demands. When the pace of life seems overwhelming, peace can be found in the simple fact that we are exactly where we need to be at this moment.

Every person fulfills their purpose when the time is right. Your unease regarding the speed of your progress could be a sign that you need to cultivate awareness within yourself and learn to move with the flow of fate rather than against it. The universe puts nothing in your path that you are incapable of handling, so you can rest assured that you are ready to grow into your new situation.

You may feel compelled to judge your personal success using your age, your professional position, your level of education, or the accomplishments of your peers as a yardstick. Yet we all enjoy the major milestones in our lives at the appropriate time—some realize their dreams as youngsters while others flourish only in old age. If you take pride in your many accomplishments and make the most of every circumstance in which you find yourself, your time will come.

  4. Don’t take it personal. When someone doesn’t like you, we can release the need or approval and move on. As we know, like attracts like, so usually when they don’t like us it is because they are not like us. Rather than taking it personally, we can let them be who they are, accepting that each of us is allowed to have different opinions.

When we give others that freedom, we claim it for ourselves as well, releasing ourselves from the need for their approval so we can devote our energy toward more rewarding pursuits.

We all tend to validate our own thoughts and opinions by asking others theirs. Be honest...how many times have you looked to a friend, sibling, parent or spouse to tell you that you look good or are thinking the "right" thing?

While approval from others is a nice feeling, when we come to depend on it we may lose our way on our own path. There are those who will not like us no matter what we do, but that doesn’t mean that there is anything wrong with us.
